Rules

– Every competitor who takes part in this competition is supposed to know the following rules and he makes a commitment to submit himself without reserve to all these prescriptions

– This trophy is named Cannondale Enduro Tour 2019 and includes 4 events:

  • 17th of May in à Sainte Marie aux Mines
  • 13+14th June in Semoy
  • 6th of September in Bussang Saint Maurice

–  The organizers are local associations. They have the right to decide whether they keep or cancel a part of the event in case of bad weather or for other important reasons.

– Loizo Rider Productions is the supplier which manages the communication of the series.

Generals rules:

– The Cannondale Enduro Tour offers 2 races per date, one “adult” and on “kids” course depending on each venue, it could be modified. (in 2020 only the race in Sainte Marie aux Mines offers a kids race)

The adult race is opened to all rider who is born in 2005 or before (you need to be 15 years old in the year of your registration to attend the adult race). The kids race is opened for from 11 to 14 years old.

Every ride must show a valid 2020 MTB license from his cycling federation to be part of the event. For the licensed rider, the display of the 2019 license will be asked during the registration of the day of the event. For the not licensed riders, it will be asked to supply a medical certificate of less than 6 months (in the date of the race, allowing the practice of MOUNTAIN BIKE in competition).

– If the race is covered by the FFC, the rules of the national federation is applied.

– The number of participants in every event will be fixed in advanced and will be communicated on the registration website and on www.cannondale-endurotour.com

– Riders must wear a helmet (open XC type OR full face dh type) at all times, including transition sections. Competitors found not wearing a helmet will be disqualified immediately.

– Full face helmet, Gloves, back protection CE or bag with a back protection included and knee pads must be wear in all timing special stages.

– Elbow pads are recommended but not compulsory.

– The camera (like Gopro) is not authorized either on the helmet nor the chest (only on the bike).

– Each competitor should be completely self-sufficient and can not have external assistance during the race.

– In the interest of safety there is a cut off time, you will be advised of this in your competitor notes when you enter.

– 26, 27.5 and 29er bikes can be used for the race as well as electric bikes. All them need to have the extremity of the handle bar closed. The electric bike must follow the french rules regarding the assistance: in fact the assistance can not more than 25 km/hour. The organisation will organized random control and will disqualified the riders who has an extra help. Morevoer it’s not possible to change or charge battery during the entire tour, and the external assistance is forbidden.

– Rider should use the same frame, forks and wheel during the event. He can change bike between the different races dates of the serie.

-All the loop must be completed in a defined time communicate the week before the race

– If transfers happen on roads open to the public, rider should respect the traffic laws

– All the loop has to be made by bike (no external assistance, no shuttle)

– Practices are forbidden. It’s a blind race so the map of the race will be given the day of the event.

– Every competitor must adapt his speed and his behavior to his personal abilities, his equipment and on the general conditions of event.

– The participants authorize the exploitation of any images or videos taken during the event and they agree to give the contact to the partners of the event. If the participant disagrees, please contact the organizer to inform them before the event.

– A deposit of 50€ will be asking for the chip of the timing system. With www.active.com the organization can charge directly his credit card of each the race if you don’t bring back the chip.

Race :

– Ebike will start the first as they will have one more difficulties to deal with. Then, we define numbers plate bunch to start in a precise window, and afterwards, the top 30 will start respecting the order of they number plate.

-In between rider, you should respect 20 seconds gap.

– After crossing the start arch, rider has a delimited time to do the entire loop, which will be communicate the week before the event. Rider should respect the order of the stages. If the rider doesn’t manage to do the loop on time, he will get a penalty of 10 seconds per minutes late.

– If the transfers happen on road open to public, please the traffic rules.

– Sometimes shuttle is provided by the organization, otherwise everything is made by bike without any exterior assistance.

– Riders must complete the special stages in ascending order, Stage 1 followed by Stage 2 etc.

– This course is marked with signs, and some sections double taped, otherwise riders must follow the trail.

– If a competitor exits the special stage course, they must re-enter the same point and restore the tape as they found it.

– The route may have narrow sections and exposed rocks, steep climbs and descents and is not suitable for beginners.

– You may NOT repeat the stage if you suffer a mechanical failure on course.

Registrations:

– Registration will open on the 31st of January 2020 on www.active.com

– On registering, you agree to the rules of the event.

– Entry for each event closes one week prior to the event if not full before then.

– Entries are non-refundable less than wednesday before each venue. If you are unable to compete for medical reasons we will refund you, and you must provide a proof from a doctor note or if you had taken the cancellation insurance: deadline is wednesday mignight before each venue. It is possible to transfer your entry to another person via your active account, until the Wednesday midnight before each event.

– For the registration, the payment will be only online, and the competitor will have to give his personal information for competing such as his names, first names, age, sex, MTB license number, address, urgency contact, category…

– The registration will be validated only after the payment of the fees and the presentation of the mtb license of the medical onsite.

Penalty:

– No external assistance on the track, Assistance is only allowed in the pits area.

– If one rider is caught by a faster rider, he should let him pass without issue, otherwise he’ll be issued a 30 penalty

– If a rider come across an injured rider, he must stop and assist him if necessary.

– Every rider must pass through the start arch to be check by the referee.

– If a rider is spotted cutting a special stage course by a marshal they will be disqualified.

– Dangerous, non-respectful behavior regarding the nature, spectators of race organizations are punished by a disqualification

– Reclamations about the race should be communicate before a delay which is 15 minutes after the arrival of the last rider. Reclamations about the ranking should be communication within a delay of 30 minutes after the publishing.

 

 

Ranking

– Only the the special stages are timed and counted to establish the ranking. Winner of the event will be the rider who will have put least time to run all the special stages.

-A scratch ranking and by category is established.

– In case of tie, the time of the last stage will decide the winner and so on.

– Categories:

  •  benjamin (born in 2008 & 2009) ; minime (born in 2006 & 2007) ; dame (born in 2005 & before) ; Cadet (born in 2004 & 2005) ; Junior (born in 2002 & 2003) ; Senior (born in 2001 & 81) ; Master 40 (born in 71 & 80), Master 50 (born in 70 & before) and Ebike (born in 2005 & before)

– Overall Ranking

  • Points table could be find in the index attached
  • Overall ranking will be based on the 3 best results 
  • In case of tie, the best result of the series will decide the winner and so on
  • The overall ranking is based on the points attributed by event of the top 100. In case of a tie, the rider the ranking is based on the number of the best position, and on the last case, the rider who did the best ranking of the last race.
